"Where Land Cruisers Go To Live"

About US

HFS is owned and operated by A.E. (Stan) & Heather Stanley. We are avid off road enthusiasts who enjoy getting out on the trails as often as we can get away from the shop, which seems to be less and less. Our favorite place to wheel has always been Harlan, KY, so much so that we were married at the summit of trail #15 in August of 08. One of our wheeling buddies just so happens to be a preacher. We earned a reputation to take the “hard line” as often as possible out on the trail.

We have since toned down our roll, so to speak and spend most of our time off road with a small group of friends following "Rocket Man" through the woods.  We look for un gated trails that are legal and may yield a cool camp site, off the beaten track.  Our current rig is Heather's 1995 FZJ80.  It is due for a swap as the OEM motor has a wrist pin knock (3 years now) and it is getting too loud to maintain confidence.  We both love the 80, Dexter, and Dexter is a good luck charm for us and will be around a very long time.

We can be found on many Toyota based forums as: NCFJ and Mrs.NCFJ.

Dexter in his current state. Heather has some big plans, execution is my department.

How We Started

Our beginnings are humble and like many in the industry started out with bumpers and sliders on our own rig. The bumpers were so well received by fellow wheelers that we decided to build a business around it. The TOY Outfitters  was born. As the business grew we realized that a bigger shop was in order. We moved into our new (to us) 3 bay shop in June 2010.  We felt the place needed it's own identity and was christened Hardline Fabrication Services.

Burn out seems to be a common trait among fabricators, build the same thing too many times and it does not matter how well they are selling you need to do something different.  Evolution and the desire to start doing LS based swaps into 60/62/80 series led us to where the shop is today.  I consider myself a lucky man, I get to build some cool hot rods, Land Cruiser style.

This is Ed, my 1989 FJ62.  Found him in AZ, blown motor and NO RUST!!!  Execution is still my department.

The focus around here is pretty much Land Cruisers and horses.  My wife is an equestrian and has had horses since age 7.  She was a champion jumper and in the horse business until 2008 when it all fell apart, much like many businesses.  She had 23 horses of her own when we met and another 20 or so boarding and training.  We are down to 6 horses now.
